Keeping up with the Hills.

Lately I have been wracking my brain about the best way to keep everyone I care about up to date with what has been going on with TJ and I. I thought to myself, "everyone has access to the Internet, why not a blog?!" As most of you have probably noticed, I'm awful with email, so is TJ. So here is a place where you all can check in from time to time to catch up on us.

As most of you already know, TJ and I are at Fort Bragg in NC. Right now, they are making TJ take a carpentry/electrical/plumbing course at the local community college. My best guess for this would be that he will be in charge of a team that will be rebuilding or building areas at the FOB (forward operating base) over in Iraq. As of right now, TJ is scheduled to deploy in November, but like everything in the military, that can change. So right now, we are taking it one day at a time. After TJ is done with this class, they are sending him to PRC (pre-ranger course) which is the precursor for Ranger School that he will be attending in summer. That class will max out his promotion points and will make him eligible for Sergeant.

As for me, I'm still working for the eye doctor, they keep me pretty busy. We see some pretty interesting things and people. I never thought living in the bible belt would be such a hassle! Mom and Oma can vouch for this based on a conversation they had with a jewish lady at the local Harris Teeter! Some people seem so surprised when they come across me, a real life jew!! I mean, whats up with that "jewish cross" that I wear around my neck anyway (please note the sarcasm as I type this!). Anyway, the majority of people here are great though and we have managed to make some really great friends.

Thats about it for this post. I'll try to not make them so long so they arent so difficult to read!!

Love you all!
